The Grafton Police Department left a gift on my car's windshield this morning. Yep, my very first parking ticket.
Apparently the streets need to be kept clear for snow plowing even when there is no snow in sight—on the ground or in the forcast.
On the up side, I'm nearly 21 and have a perfect driving record with no accidents or tickets.
I will be surprised and happy if State Farm reduces my insurance rate.
From what I know of State Farm, they apply their creative computing towards fraud detection and fund management.
Fund management and fraud detection are interesting fields, but I wish they would apply some of their resources to more fine-grained risk analysis. I'd like them to figure out that despite being a single young male, I'm less of a risk than most married females.
Amazon can figure out what books someone will like. State Farm should be able to figure out the insurance risk of a individual without invoking stereotypes.
