When you drive a little car stay away from big trucks
The county fair is going on right now, so I have been driving back and forth between home and Pekin several times each day.
On my most recent trip someone in a red Ford Focus was hiding in my back corner blind spot for ~6 miles.
Every time I would try to move over so someone could merge that little car would zip up and pace me for a while.
If you drive a focus, civic, metro, or other small car pay attention: unless you have a death wish you should be aware and stay out of large vehicles' blind spots.
Education disconnect?
The knowledge accumulated by us humans continues to grow each year, yet it seems that the amount of information covered in standard K-12 schools has stayed the same or decreased.
Shouldn't the amount of information taught increase as general knowledge increases?
As our collective knowledge increases shouldn't out individual knowledge increase?
When government run schools fail and government sponsored school
subsidies are blocked by politicians who tend towards socialism one must question those politicians' motives.
Why do they want to prevent kids from receiving a quality education?
If government schools are good enough why do politicians normally send their children to expensive private schools?
Why do they talk endlessly about raising the downtrodden up with a parade of social programs and yet balk at simple sponsorship of school choice, the only way to truly raise the less fortunate out of the sinkhole of illiteracy?
